What are the versions of Google for Education? ›

Google Workspace for Education offers Education Fundamentals to all qualifying institutions at no cost. For those that want more premium features, Google also offers paid editions including Education Standard, the Teaching and Learning Upgrade, and Education Plus.

Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals—Gives you tools to aid teaching and learning, such as Classroom, Google Meet, Google Docs, Google Forms, and Google Chat. What happens if I don't pay for Google Workspace? ›

Google begins deleting your Google Workspace data 51 days after you cancel your subscription. It's important to note that: When your domain expires, your Google Workspace subscription also expires. After you cancel your subscription, you may receive an email from Google Workspace prompting you to set up billing.

The biggest issue G Suite faces is that it's not Microsoft Office. Microsoft 365 also offers collaboration and communication tools but with a familiar interface. Google Docs and Sheets aren't as feature-driven as Word and Excel and don't always work as they should.
